'Just a
Few Thoughts'

09.22.05 On the
politics issue, I think that we just look at it in two
different ways. More and more, I feel SO blessed to be born
in this country and where I am. God is indeed an amazing and
good God who has given us so much more than we deserve. I am
VERY optimistic about this country's future, because I
believe (deep down, under all the materialism and sinning
and evil on the outside) that the people of this country
trust God. I just pray that a revival can take place in the
hearts of our citizens. That people can stop trying to take
"under God" out of the pledge and stop trying to legalize
abortion. People must stop standing for the rights of child
molesters and fight for the rights of the oppressed and
damaged children who's innocence has been stolen. People
must stop trying to take Christ out of our national
holiday--CHRISTmas. People must stop failing to recognize a
great and sovereign GOD---or He will not continue to bless
us. I heard it said that "God will not continue to bless a
country that kills its unborn."
We must hold to the institution of Matrimony as a country,
Marriage is one of the very things that hold up this
society--and if we fail to continue to promote it---the
union of man and woman, the institution of family, man, and
wife-- will crumble even more to pieces. I believe that we
must surrender the idol of materialism and as citizens and
Christians (not as taxpayers and the Government) reach out
and embrace the poorer within our borders and those beyond
our borders (with a desire from our heart, not a forced
taking of taxes from the Government!) God is not pleased
that we give less simply because money is already taken from
us in taxes. It's almost as if we write the poor off because
we think the government is enough. Well, let me tell
you---it isn't, and it NEVER will be. Government is simply
an institution and a bureaucracy and will never be nothing
more, under Clinton OR Bush. It can help somewhat--but it
cant touch the hearts of people.
I believe that the war that we have begun in Iraq (NO MATTER
WHY WE WENT IN) is doing beautiful things in the hearts of
those who have been chained to hatred and fascist ideologies
in the middle east. So much more good is being done there
then bad. So much more! Schools have been built,
infrastructure INSTALLED, not restored. Water is fresh a
clean for the first time ever, sanitation is real and
working where it never has been. People can vote and decide
who they want to make up their government. The hungry are
being fed because of our action there, and we should stand
behind it FULLY. The people of Iraq are GRATEFUL, and I know
this because I have spoken to soldier after soldier who have
walked the streets of Baghdad and seen and felt the embrace
of the Iraqi citizens.
I believe that because of man's acute and definite nature to
be evil and to sin that we can never end war---not until
Christ comes back. We must never advocate war, but we must
use it when it is neccessary to save our brothers and
sisters in the human race from evils and oppressions forced
upon them. These are the weak and the mild and the
downtrodden we must help.
We MUST, as a country stop thinking that the national news
is equal to the truth---EVERYone, no matter who they are,
has their own agenda that they try to impress in the minds
of those who watch them.
As far as poverty within our borders goes, I really and
truly think that the Government will never, ever be enough.
It is so much more that plagues those in such situations as
those in New Orleans, something that government cannot
touch. It is within the very hearts of those people. It will
never be enough to give handouts. Handups are what is
needed!
It is truly sad that people believe poverty is getting worse
under Bush. Here's a few facts for you, that I was told by a
friend and went and looked up online. Bill Clinton got on
the TV the other day and said that poverty was better under
him as president and this is simply a blatant lie. Black
homeownership is up 2 percent under President Bush. Poverty
spending is significantly higher under Bush than it was
under Clinton. Educational spending for poor school
districts is higher under Bush. And the poverty rate stood
at 13.7 percent halfway through Clinton's tenure. It is 12.7
percent halfway through Bush's two terms. This "tax cuts for
the rich" business is also blatantly dishonest. It's a ruse
for the secular left to institute their income
redistribution scheme. Under President Clinton, the tax rate
climbed higher than at any time in history except in World
War II. President Bush then came in and cut taxes for
everyone. And guess what? Federal tax revenues will be more
this year than at any time during the Clinton
administration!
We have no choice as a nation but to stand up to the evil,
hatred, and sheer lunacy of Islamo-fascism that wants to
take over the world just as much or more than Hitler did. We
can either fight this evil just as FDR decided to do---or we
can surrender in the fight against freedom AND faith. We
must never allow liberalism and pacifism to be confused with
the message of Christ. Jesus did not stand by as the evil
oppressed the downtrodden. Would Jesus continue to allow the
little children in the streets of Baghdad to be blow up day
after day by Muslim extremists?
